A new report by the Commonwealth Fund ranks Wisconsin among leaders in state health care performance.

The Commonwealth Fund 2015 Scorecard on State Health System Performance ranks Wisconsin among the nation's leaders. States were measured and ranked in five areas: access and affordability, prevention and treatment, avoidable hospital use and cost, healthy lives, and equity. Wisconsin tied New Hampshire and Vermont for 4th in the nation in prevention and treatment, but slid to 29th in equity - access to and availability of care. Wisconsin's overall score, tied for 11th, puts it in the top quartile of states.
