WHIO unveils interactive, online tool illustrating changing characteristics of its vast Datamart over span of 9 years. Interactivity permits comparative distribution of claims from Datamart Version (DMV) 2 (2006) through DMV 14 (2013-2015).

The Wisconsin Health Information Organization today posted an interactive, online tool illustrating the changing characteristics of its vast Datamart over a span of 9 years. Interactivity permits comparative distribution of claims from Datamart Version (DMV) 2 (2006) through DMV 14 (2013-2015). DMV13 data break down a total of 423,320,157 million commercial, Medicaid FFS, Medicaid HMO, Medicare Advantage and Medicare FFS claims (medical and pharmacy) covering 84.18% of the Wisconsin population, more than 148,000 providers, nearly 31 million episodes of care and $115 billion in billed charges.

WHIO data is being leveraged to support statewide transformation initiatives by healthcare professionals and policymakers and to provide ratings of primary care clinics to patients and their families through public reporting at myhealthwi.org.
